The Teacher

Michael Waskey is a Professional musician, composer, and educator with over 15 years of teaching experience and over 20 years of performance and composition experience.

Michael is a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. In addition to being one of the most demanding and well respected Music Colleges in the world, Berklee boasts a long list of well-known alumni including John Mayer, Quincy Jones, Melissa Etheridge, St. Vincent, Paula Cole, Chaka Khan, and many more.


Throughout his many years as an educator, Michael has guided students through the college application process, and seen them go on to be accepted into university music programs at schools such as Full Sail, Belmont, and Towson Universities. Many have gone on to become his Colleagues, becoming professional musicians and educators themselves.

Michael has also worked with organizations such as Sweet Bay Magnolia Academy at the McArdle Center to provide music workshops specifically designed for Children with Autism and other learning disabilities.

In addition to private lessons, he also offers group rock camp experiences for students that include public performance opportunities.
